Brad Pitt may only play an astronaut in movies for now, but will soon take the controls of the cockpit in real life. Academy Award nominated actor called into the International Space Station and spoke with astronaut Nick Hague on Monday, in a conversation that was carried by NASA Television. Pitt plays an astronaut in his newest film, "Ad Astra," which will be released nationwide on Friday.
Following the filming of his movie, the actor and producer got more interested in astronomy, which led him to get in touch with NASA. Therefore, Pitt and Hague talked about many different topics, always about space, including the upcoming ‘Artemis Project’ to the moon, which will land the first woman on the moon.
At one point Pitt joked with Hague and asked who was more believable playing an astronaut, between himself and George Clooney. Clooney, a close friend of Pitt's, starred in the 2013 space film "Gravity”. In response, Hague laughed and affirmed Pitt was the better astronaut.
