Over the past 18 weeks, there has been a lot of change. Not only with me, but with the world, and everyone that lives within it.

I have learned a lot over the first half of this year, including school topics, but also a lot about life. The first half of my sophomore year has been pretty good. There were some ups and downs, but yet again such as life there will always be ups, and downs, just have to ride it out.

Reflecting on Journalism’s 2014 year, we have covered a large majority of important news. We managed to get the radio station fully functional in the middle of November. The radio was one of the largest things this class has ever taken part in.

Some important topics we have covered include Ebola, texting and driving, Lizard Squad, Anonymous, Holidays, and Palmetto’s Finest.

On Jan. 12, Mr. Pennell was called and notified that Saint James High School is currently one of the finalists in the Palmetto’s finest. Mr. Pennell was excited to hear about this, he immediately resulted in going on the PA to tell the entire school.

St. James has succeeded at a lot over a short period of time. The support the high school has gotten has never been this good until this year.

I must say St. James is in the best shape is has been for a long time. Positive changes have taken affect, and I am sure as the year’s progress these changes will remain to stay positive.

  1. I'm so proud of St. James for making into the top 3! We really are a great school and I can't wait to see the results of Palmetto's Finest.

  4. I'm so happy that our school had a chance to show what we have to offer. We truly do have a wonderful school, and people take it for granted. We really have teachers and staff that care about their students!
