“I am very excited; it is my very first prom,” Junior Tabby Ross said, “I’m stressed that I will be late, and I’m also stressed that all my friends will have dates and I won’t.”
Prom is an experience you will remember for the rest of your life, so it is definitely a stressful time. Maybe you’ve got a special someone to go to prom with or maybe you are just going with a group of friends.
Junior Bailey Brown said, “Friends! It is way less stressful with friends because they don’t care how you look.”
I personally think it would be better to have a date, but there is certainly nothing wrong with going with close friends.
Girls will spend the whole day getting ready. Then after prom, people usually get together with all their friends and continue to party when prom is over.
Tabby said, “We have almost everything planned out. We are going to get our nails and hair done, we’re going to be picked up by a limo, and then we’re going to PF Changs and Market Commons for pictures, and then finally we will go to prom!”
Most girls that are going to prom have been planning for months, but some girls have not even started to plan out their day.
“I haven’t even started planning at all for prom! There are so many aspects of it that I haven’t even though about; I don’t even know where to start,” said junior Madeline Brown.
It all sounds pretty stressful to me. You worry about everything because you just want the night to be perfect. Girls get together and decide on their dress, hair, shoes, etc. It all just seems like too much to worry about. Prom sounds like it would be a great time. I just wonder if it’s all worth the stress.
“I am nervous because it’s my first time going to prom and I’m hoping that nobody else will have the same dress as me,” said Tabby.
It makes me wonder if it’s worth spending all the time and money on a dress, hair, nails, shoes, pictures, and all the other stuff that you do for prom.
It all seems so amazing, but is it really?
