The end of the school year is drawing near, spring is almost up and summer is about to begin heating up. With June just around the corner some students might have forgotten that Mother’s Day is this Sunday.

With all that’s going on it’s still very important to remember who brought you into this world and raised you. Whether you’re a senior about to leave for greener pastures or a freshman ending his/her first year here in St. James, you may want to show your mother some appreciation and get her something.

There are a variety of things you can do for your mom this weekend like buying or making her a gift, taking her out to a nice place to eat or just spending the day with her. For some students, maybe spending time away from her is just what she needs. Just kidding St. James.

Time is short though Sharks, you don’t want to forget to show your mother some love. If you forget or just choose not to make your Mother’s Day special for your mom she can make the rest of your life worse than you can possibly imagine. Trust me kids, you won’t regret taking one day to keep the lady who birthed you happy.

If you do want show the hag some appreciation but can’t think of a way to do that without spending jail time, just find out what sort of things she enjoys (wristwatches, teddy bears, quilts, films starring Gary Busey, Snuggies, etc.). If possibly you just want to take her on a night on the town think what her favorite foods or a movie that she’s been meaning to see.

Above all St. James, remember that your mother brought you into this world. She put up with you and didn’t throw you in a dumpster or try to sell you for drugs (I hope). This day isn’t for you, it’s for that woman who would do anything for you.

  9. Moms are the best, it doesn't matter how much you spend or what you do...as long as you're together.
