So, for most schools Football season is almost done, with only two games left; we plan on going out with a bang! With losing all the games but one against Georgetown, making us 1-6, Saint James, needs some excitement. Well, speaking for myself and many other students we usually get all hyped up on Friday’s with wearing blue, white, and black to support our colors for the school. We’re twisting it up this upcoming Friday, when we play Myrtle Beach; we’re going to try and pink it out.
Well, as stated above you’re probably wondering why pink out of all colors. And the boys, are probably like “Well, That’s to girly I’m not doing that” and girls are like “YES, I’m so excited.” Well the reasoning behind that is for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Saint James is probably one of many schools that are actually participating in this campaign. As a student of Saint James I noticed that the hallways are pinked out and decorated. Also, I found that we’re actually having a door decorating contest for this event as well.
I asked three students around school and asked them the same question: “How do you like this event and the plan of wearing pink to the football game? Would you like to see things around Saint James, like this more often?” Junior Katelyn O’Hara stated that “I think it was an amazing idea for someone to choose to do this. It really shows how the students really can be! I would love to see our school do this more often!” Senior Brandon Scott said “I think this event is very special, and it supports a good reason, and we should see more events like this go around the school.” Junior Tyeshia Allston said “I think that caring for one another is awesome! And, people should try it more often. Our school should do more stuff like this for sure”
With, all these things being said, I believe this should be a great event, and Friday should be VERY surprising. Good luck sharks, and remember PINK it out!

  1. Ashley I am glad to see the story on this, the Sun News covered it as well so obviously people thought it was deserving of a report.
