Imagine you live in a time where you can jump in your ship and explore the universe as you please. A time when you can explore every planet and discover new species. Thanks to the upcoming indie studio, Hello Games, this can now be possible in videogames. They’ve created No Man’s Sky, a new adventure/survival science fiction game where you can explore an entire universe.

The game has four main points of gameplay. Combat, survival, exploration, and trading. The game has over 18 quintillion planets you can explore, each with their own unique plants and animals. Each planet also has a specific environment, which can range from a tropical planet, to a frozen planet. While the player explores, they fill the Atlas with information on each planet and its species. The player can also trade with factions and trade ships in the game.

The game is set to come out in June this year for PS4 and Windows. The game has been in the works for quite some time, with its first teaser in December 2013. Since then little clips of gameplay have been shown, which has only fueled everyone’s excitement over this game.

“I’m excited for it,” said Hailey Lew. “I think my favorite part is just how big the game really is”.

“I think it’s a cool idea for a game,” said Spencer Boyce. “I’m just afraid everyone is going to get really excited for it and then it’s going to end up being a flop.”

“It looks cool,” said Daniel Dahan. “I don’t think I’m going to get it, but it’s good for the people who like games like that.”

Overall, if you’re interested in survival, exploring, or just space in general, this is definitely a game you should consider getting in the future.
